Jakarta - The Ministry of Tourism supports efforts to improve the cleanliness of tourist destination areas to improve Indonesia's tourism ranking.
Deputy for Development of Event Organizers at the Ministry of Tourism, Vinsensius Jemadu, said that the cleanliness and health index of Indonesian tourist destinations is still relatively low.
After a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday, he said that the cleanliness and health index of Indonesian tourism destinations was still ranked 89th in a list covering 114 countries.
According to him, the government is trying to improve its ranking so that it can enter the top 60 or even 50.
