Jakarta - The Ministry of Creative Economy signed a memorandum of understanding with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to collaborate on statistical data on potential in 17 sub-sectors of the creative economy, especially in the regions.
"Because the potential of the creative economy is extraordinary, because it is also expected that the creative economy will become a new engine of national economic growth starting from the regions. Well, of course, this data from BPS has a structure down to the Regency/City level," said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya to the media crew at the BPS Office, Jakarta, Thursday.
He said that the Ministry of Creative Economy will support the development of the 2026 economic census survey data conducted every 10 years by BPS, which will also be needed by regional heads throughout Indonesia to develop the creative economy.
