Jakarta - The Ministry of Communication and Digital is targeting the preparation of a roadmap regarding the use of artificial intelligence technology to be completed in the next three months.
Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria said that the government has held discussion forums with stakeholders to prepare a comprehensive roadmap for AI use.
"Discussions have taken place in several forums, including our cooperation with several organizations and several companies that have supported it," he said as quoted in a ministry press release in Jakarta, Thursday.
In a discussion forum entitled "The Future of AI Governance in Indonesia: Lessons from Global Practices" held in Central Jakarta, Wednesday (19/3), he said that the government is studying regulations on the use of AI in other countries as a reference in preparing a roadmap.
He also appreciated the institutions that have conducted studies on AI governance and provided input to the government regarding the preparation of inclusive AI governance.
