Jakarta - The Ministry of Communication and Digital is coordinating with the Indonesian National Police and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency to pursue perpetrators of crimes using fake Base Transceiver Station or fake BTS.
"For fake BTS, we are currently working closely with the police and also BSSN to pursue the perpetrators," said Meutya at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Media Center, Jakarta, Thursday.
Meutya asked the public to wait for the continuation of the investigation into the fraud under the guise of fake BTS because the relevant parties are working to catch the perpetrators.
The crime of using fake BTS is basically SMS fraud, the perpetrator uses his fake BTS by transmitting a signal as if acting as a BTS from an official operator.
