Minister of Trans is committed to fulfilling the rights of Rempang residents participating in local transmigration


Jakarta - Minister of Transmigration Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanegara stated that his party is committed to fulfilling the rights of residents of Rempang, Batam, Riau Islands, who are participating in the local transmigration program to a number of areas in the province, one of which is Tanjung Banun.

"We are committed to ensuring that Rempang residents can get their full rights," said Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanegara in Batam, Riau Islands, Tuesday, as quoted from the official statement of the Ministry of Transmigration received in Jakarta.

He said that one of the efforts to fulfill the residents' rights was to provide a Certificate of Ownership (SHM) for the land where they live in Tanjung Banun Village.

The certificates were symbolically given to 68 Heads of Families (KK) by the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono in Batam, Riau Islands, Tuesday.

There are a total of 961 families who are willing to relocate from their original residences to Tanjung Banun as an effort to resolve land conflicts with local residents affected by the construction of the Rempang Eco City National Strategic Project .
