Jakarta - Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas has invited law enforcement officers to investigate the alleged terror attack on the Tempo media.
According to Supratman, the incident of sending a pig's head to Tempo could be an attempt to divide the government and society through the media.
"Who knows, it might be part of a plan to divide us, because we don't know the source. Therefore, please ask the authorities to investigate," said Supratman in an intercept interview at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Friday.
Supratman explained that the investigation was carried out considering that the source or sender of the package was not yet known.
Previously, the Press Council requested that the perpetrators of the terror in the form of sending a pig's head to the Tempo office and addressed to journalist Francisca Christy Rosana on Thursday (20/3) be investigated thoroughly so that a similar incident does not happen again.
"Regarding the incident, the Press Council requested that law enforcement officers thoroughly investigate the perpetrators of terror. Why? Because if left alone, threats and terror like this will continue to recur," said Press Council Chair Ninik Rahayu in a press conference in Jakarta, Friday.
