Jakarta - The Director General of Capture Fisheries at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Lotharia Latif checked the readiness of fish supplies to the Tegalsari Archipelago Fisheries Port (PPN) in Tegal, Central Java, in preparation for the 2025/1446 Hijri Eid al-Fitr holiday.
Latif in a statement in Jakarta, Monday said that from checking fish stocks, it was confirmed that they were in a safe condition and sufficient to meet the needs of the community. Fish prices were also monitored as stable and under control.
"We ensure that the fish supply is well maintained. Fishermen and fisheries entrepreneurs have worked hard to maintain production stability, so that people do not need to worry about the availability of fish during Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr this year," said Latif.
He emphasized that in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's policy, the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries continues to pay attention to and strive to improve the welfare of Indonesian fishermen.
"During the review, we gathered with fishermen and ensured that the availability of fish stocks remained safe," he said.
