Jember DPRD finds that MinyaKita is not measured according to the HET and is above it

Jember, East Java - Commission B of the Jember DPRD, East Java, found that subsidized cooking oil, namely MinyaKita in 1 liter packaging, did not comply with the measurements and was sold above the highest retail price (HET) on the market.

"Today we received a report from the public stating that the volume of MinyaKita indicated fraud as had occurred in several regions, so we conducted a check by purchasing the cooking oil at traditional markets and the surrounding areas," said Jember DPRD Commission B Chairman Candra Ary Fianto in Jember, Wednesday.

According to him, the issue of MinyaKita people's cooking oil has become a national issue and the DPRD has received this information because there were complaints from the public regarding alleged fraud in the measurements of the cooking oil packaging.

"We immediately went to the field and bought 1 liter of MinyaKita in both bottles and packaging. The result was that there was a difference of around 100 ml, so the oil content was not up to 1 liter," he said.

Regarding the findings, he continued, he immediately coordinated with the relevant parties and requested that MinyaKita be withdrawn from the market because it did not match the volume stated on the packaging and was detrimental to the public.

In addition, Commission B of the Jember DPRD also found that MinyaKita was being sold above the HET.

This violates the provisions because the HET for MinyaKita is IDR 15,700 per liter because it has received a subsidy but is sold on the market for IDR 16,500 to IDR 17,000 for a 1 liter package.
