Inzaghi does not see match against Napoli as deciding title

Jakarta - Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi does not view the match against Napoli in the 27th week of the Italian League at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Naples, Sunday (2/3) early morning WIB, as determining the championship title.

Quoted from the club's official website, Saturday, Inzaghi explained that both teams still have many matches left to play after going through the 27th week of the Italian League until the end of the upcoming season.

Although he does not consider it a title-deciding match, Inzaghi admits that this is an important match because it will bring together two teams that are currently in the top two positions.

"We are talking about the top two teams in the league, it is worth giving credit to both Inter and Napoli. Tomorrow is a very important match, but not decisive," said Inzaghi.

"There are still 12 games to play and 36 points to play for, but we know the importance of this game: we will need to be at our best against a strong opponent," he added.

The Italian coach confirmed that matches against Napoli are always difficult and Inter Milan have had difficulty getting full points in the previous two meetings.

In those two matches, Inter Milan had to be satisfied with a 1-1 draw and the Nerazzurri's last victory over Napoli in the Italian League occurred in 2023.

He hopes that his players will be able to bring out their best abilities again after beating Lazio with a score of 2-0 in the previous match.

"We have to come out of a difficult game in the best possible way: we know what lies ahead of us, we haven't done as well in direct encounters as we have in the past, we have to be perfect to take home the points," Inzaghi stressed.
