House of Representatives Commission V ensures Merak Port's readiness to face homecoming flow













     

Jakarta - Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives ensures the readiness of Merak Port in facing the flow of homecoming and return travelers by checking the infrastructure and transportation services at the Executive Pier to ensure they run optimally to anticipate the surge in homecoming travelers.

The head of the DPR RI Commission V delegation, Ridwan Bae, in a statement in Jakarta, Monday, emphasized the importance of the readiness of Eid transportation services, especially at Merak Port which is a crucial point for homecoming trips.

"We want to ensure that all aspects of infrastructure and operations are ready to face the surge in homecoming traffic," said Ridwan.

The legislator from the Southeast Sulawesi electoral district said that his party had conducted a specific working visit to the Merak Port Executive Pier to ensure that the infrastructure and transportation services were running optimally.

"Commission V will continue to ensure that transportation services at Merak Port run smoothly, safely and comfortably for the public," said Ridwan, who is also Deputy Chairman of Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

On that occasion, Ridwan also expressed his appreciation to ASDP and all stakeholders for the various improvements that have been made to support the smooth running of the 1446 H Eid homecoming.

"We see many significant improvements in various aspects. Hopefully, this can guarantee the safety, comfort, and security of the community on their journey to their hometowns," added Ridwan.
