Jakarta - Secretary General of the Central Leadership Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle Hasto Kristiyanto, through his legal advisor, has requested a transfer of detention to Salemba Detention Center , Central Jakarta from previously being held at the Corruption Eradication Commission Detention Center.
Hasto's legal advisor, Ronny Talapessy, said that in the KPK detention center, his client's access to meet with colleagues was limited.
"Only limited to lawyers and family, while I ask for your permission, Your Honor, that Mr. Hasto has many colleagues or friends who also want to give encouragement," said Ronny in the hearing of the reading of the objection or exception note in the trial at the Corruption Crime Court (Tipikor) Jakarta, Friday.
Responding to the request, Chief Justice Rios Rahmanto said that if the reason for the request for transfer was only related to visiting rights, then Hasto's legal advisor could submit a request regarding permission from colleagues who would visit Hasto.
However, the Chief Justice explained that the request must explain in detail who the person who will be visiting is.
"This means that perhaps not everything is permitted, if everything is allowed, then automatically the security aspect needs to be considered. If it is clear who submitted it, perhaps the panel can consider it," said the Chief Justice.
