Jakarta - The Indonesian Palm Oil Entrepreneurs Association together with Astra Agro and the Agricultural Journalists Forum introduced palm oil to children, while also distributing social assistance to orphans.
In an activity held at the Al-Mukhilisin Foundation Orphanage in Jakarta, Friday, Head of the GAPKI Media Relations Compartment, Fenny Sofyan, shared stories about palm oil in easy-to-understand language with dozens of children who attended.
"I want to invite children to love domestic commodities, where Indonesian palm oil is not only for fulfilling Indonesian food needs but also globally," he said.
According to him, almost 24 hours in everyday life, people are always connected to palm oil derivative products. This shows how important palm oil is in life.
"Palm oil can produce various kinds of products. The first product produced is cooking oil, which we often use for everyday cooking," he said.
Apart from cooking oil, palm oil is also found in many other products, both food and non-food, for example, glycerin in hand and body lotion, as well as lipstick, blush on, shampoo, toothpaste, and other products from head to toe.
"All foods, whether snacks or others, contain palm oil. For example, ice cream, chocolate, and many other products," he said.
