Jakarta - Social networking platform X, owned by US businessman Elon Musk, has filed a lawsuit against the Indian government because it feels that the Indian government is abusing Information Technology Regulations related to blocking content.
As reported by the Times of India, Friday, it is known that X challenged the interpretation of Section 79(3)(b) of the IT rules applied in India by claiming that it leads to arbitrary censorship and violates the Supreme Court ruling.
The lawsuit accuses the government of using the article to create a parallel content blocking mechanism, bypassing the structured legal process outlined in Article 69A.
