Danantara reviews downstream projects and data centers before investing

Jakarta - Head of the Executive Agency of BPI Danantara Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said that Danantara is still reviewing a number of downstream projects and data center development projects before determining investment targets.

Rosan explained that there are a number of parameters that Danantara considers for investing, including being able to create jobs, reduce imports, increase competitiveness, have added value, and be in line with the principle of prudence .

"The most important thing is that our investment has a positive impact in the future on our children and grandchildren. Well, that is also one of the guidelines. So, we say Danantara, we invest for the future ," said Rosan answering journalists' questions during a press conference at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday (5/3) night.

In the same press conference, Rosan could not yet mention the projects targeted by Danantara, because all of them were still being reviewed by both the investment committee and the implementation team from the operational and investment levels.

"So, this will be analyzed by our Investment Committee team, both at the operational level, both at the investment level, and at the BP Danantara level. So, this will really be done professionally," Rosan said.

He continued that in-depth studies are needed so that every decision to invest has gone through a series of in-depth considerations and analyses in terms of risk, legal, administration, as well as in terms of competitiveness and consideration of future demand-supply .

Not only downstream projects and data centers , Rosan said Danantara is also reviewing projects related to the construction of new and renewable energy (EBT)-based power plants. Some of the projects mentioned by Rosan are also included in the list of national strategic projects (PSN) for the period .
