Jakarta - The government is currently finalizing plans to establish 80,000 Red and White Village Cooperative units throughout Indonesia, which is targeted to be realized this year.
"The number is 80,000 cooperatives that are being developed. In the near future, we can execute them as well as possible, as soon as possible, because the target this year is that the President wants to form the Red and White Village Cooperative," said Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Budi Arie Setiadi after attending the Plenary Cabinet Session at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Friday.
The Cooperatives Minister said that this program is one of the national priorities to improve the welfare of rural communities. This cooperative is planned to be formed in all villages in Indonesia, by adjusting the conditions and needs of each region.
