Jakarta - Chelsea must pay compensation of 5 million pounds or around 6.5 million US dollars to Manchester United if they choose not to make Jadon Sancho's transfer permanent this summer.
According to ESPN, Sancho is currently on loan at Stamford Bridge with a £25 million obligation to buy clause if Chelsea finish higher than 14th in the Premier League.
With Chelsea currently in fourth place and only nine games remaining, that requirement is almost certain to be met.
However, there is a clause that allows Chelsea to return Sancho to Old Trafford on condition of paying a £5 million penalty.
