Jakarta - Chairperson of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives Hetifah Sjaifudian asked the Indonesian National Football Team to rise stronger in the match against Bahrain on March 25, 2025 after experiencing defeat against Australia in the 2026 World Cup qualifying match.
"Football is about the spirit of never giving up. We must rise and learn from this match. There are still opportunities ahead and this team must prove that they are able to rise stronger in the match against Bahrain on March 25," said Hetifah in a statement received in Jakarta, Friday.
As the head of the commission which, among other things, oversees sports, Hetifah admitted that she felt deep disappointment, as felt by all Indonesian people who always support the Garuda team's struggle on the green field.
However, he continued, the failure was not the end of everything, but could be a motivator for the Indonesian National Team to perform better.
Then, to PSSI and all elements supporting the national team, Hetifah advised that an objective and constructive evaluation must be carried out immediately.
According to him, technical, mental, cooperation and strategy preparations must be improved so that the Indonesian National Team can show its best performance in the next match.
