Jakarta - Sports Medicine Specialist Dr. Andhika Respati Sp.KO explained that a long homecoming trip can risk causing swollen feet.
"These swollen feet are actually due to blocked circulation. What causes swelling is because fluid from the blood vessels collects in the feet," Andhika told ANTARA in Jakarta, Friday.
Andhika said when someone sits for a long time, the calves experience a fairly static condition. In people who go home for Eid, static calves occur more in passengers who do not drive.
This is different from the person in charge of driving the vehicle who still gets a little movement by playing with the gas, brake and clutch.
