Jakarta - Dewa United Banten Manager Matius Zaqi Iskandar said the recruitment of Ecuadorian player Bryan Jose Carabali was a direct selection by head coach Pablo Favarel.
He explained that the coach considered the center's playing style suitable to replace Pape Malick Dime who left the club last week.
"The selection of Carabali to complete the foreign player quota for the remainder of this season was coach Pablo's choice," said Zaqi on the IBL website in Jakarta, Friday.
According to him, Dewa United also considered the choice of the Argentine coach to be appropriate, because it was in line with the team's needs.
"After we looked at the track record, it turned out that Carabali really did fit the needs," he said.
