Batam - Head of the Batam Authority Amsakar Achmad expressed his support for the Central Government's plan to build the largest oil refinery on Pemping Island and an oil storage facility on Nipah Island.
This project is part of a national policy aimed at increasing energy processing capacity in Indonesia.
"We have no problem because this is a national policy. If there is investment coming into Batam, we will encourage and fully support it," he said in Batam, Friday.
He ensured that BP Batam was ready to assist in the licensing and feasibility process for the project so that it could run smoothly.
