The Bank Indonesia Bali Representative Office strengthens innovation in micro, small and medium enterprises that produce environmentally friendly products because they are currently trending and in demand by consumers.
"Through this assistance, we hope that the quality of MSME products will increase and have good competitiveness at national and international levels," said Head of the BI Bali Representative Office Erwin Soeriadimadja in Denpasar, Thursday.
The strengthening carried out includes providing assistance, providing input and providing opportunities to make MSME products superior in activities held by representatives of the central bank, one of which is the Bali Jagadhita exhibition.
In this way, green MSME products will be better known by the public, especially consumers who have always wanted environmentally friendly products.
There are five environmentally friendly MSME actors who were given assistance and previously they had also passed the curation and won the green innovation competition in 2024.
The five green MSMEs are Haluan Bali, which reuses old products that are more than two years old and are suitable for re-production.
Then, Ishana UMKM which involves a community of women with disabilities in the production process, then Suka Pandawa which optimizes plastic bag waste into craft products.
In addition, UMKM Neira Pocket uses environmentally friendly natural dye techniques and Rotenbi produces woven craft products with a zero waste principle.
