Bali Police Hold Cheap Market Ahead of Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr





Denpasar - The Bali Regional Police again held a cheap food market operation ahead of the national religious holidays , namely Nyepi Caka 1947 and Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri at Badung Market, Friday (21/03/2025).

It was reported that the cheap market operation was a collaboration involving the Bali Police, Bali Trade and Industry Service, the Agriculture and Food Service and the local Bulog.

Nyepi Day Caka 1947 falls on March 29, 2025 while Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah falls on March 31 this year.

In the event, a number of basic necessities were sold cheaper than normal prices, including chicken eggs for Rp14,000 per mica box, granulated sugar for Rp15,000 per kilogram, MinyaKita for Rp28,000 per two liters, Putri Sejati rice for Rp70,000 per five kilograms, Ratuayu rice for Rp70,000 per five kilograms and 3 kilograms of LPG gas for Rp18,000.

Head of Public Relations of Bali Police Senior Commissioner Pol. Ariasandy said that there are many benefits that can be gained from this cheap market activity, both socially and economically.

In terms of price, people buy at cheaper prices and socially it can foster social awareness.

"This activity is also for the availability of necessities in sufficient quantities at reasonable and affordable prices for the community, including those with low incomes, and to prevent price increases on Nyepi Caka 1947 and Eid al-Fitr 1446 H," said the Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police.
