Jakarta - Atletico Madrid sporting director Carlos Busero has denied reports that his club has received an offer from Liverpool for striker Julian Alvarez."The talk about Liverpool making an official offer to recruit Julian Alvarez is not true. What is circulating is just a rumor," Carlos Busero was quoted as saying by Mirror on Wednesday.The Argentine player will not be sold by Atletico Madrid because he is an important part of coach Diego Simeone's project."Alvarez is a key and important player in our project, and we have no intention of letting him go. The player himself does not pay attention to these rumors," Busero said.
Alvarez himself only joined Atletico this season after being recruited for a fantastic value from Manchester City of 95 million euros. He decided to leave because he felt he was more often a substitute for Erling Haaland.
