Applicators welcome the initiative to provide holiday bonuses for drivers


Jakarta - One of the ride hailing applicators, Grab Indonesia, welcomes the collaborative initiative between the government and digital platforms in the spirit of sharing with driver partners regarding the provision of Eid Bonuses (BHR) through a special performance bonus program.

"We are pleased to contribute to an initiative that provides direct benefits to driver partners who are the backbone of transportation and delivery services in Indonesia, and who have provided the best service to customers so far," said Grab Group CEO & Co-Founder, Anthony Tan, quoted from an official statement in Jakarta, Tuesday.

"This collaboration between the government and the industry is a real proof of how we can work together to bring a wider positive impact. Grab will continue to innovate and find the best way to support driver partners and the wider community," he added.

Furthermore, this special performance bonus program is a form of company appreciation for the dedication and contribution of partners in welcoming Eid al-Fitr.

This bonus is a form of additional support that is basically not included in the routine benefits received by informal economy sector workers, such as digital platform driver partners (gig workers).

Tan added that Grab has prepared this bonus program as the best form of support that can be given at this time, in accordance with the company's financial condition.

As part of Grab's commitment, Tan said this special performance bonus program is part of Grab's efforts to reward driver partners who have performed well and have shown dedication in providing the best service to customers.

Grab also sets the criteria for receiving this bonus based on the driver partner's activity, including the number of orders completed, order completion rate, number of days and hours online, and driver rating.

"This bonus program is designed to provide fair rewards, where the level of appreciation received reflects the level of activity, contribution, and achievement of each partner," said Grab Indonesia Country Managing Director Neneng Goenadi.

In addition to the performance bonus program, Grab also presents the “Traktir Driver” program which allows customers to provide additional appreciation to driver partners from participating restaurants and small businesses.

In addition, Grab also encourages customers to show appreciation by giving more tips to driver partners.
