Jakarta - Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is certain to miss the League Cup final against Newcastle United on Sunday due to an ankle injury sustained against Paris Saint Germain at Anfield in the second leg of the Champions League last 16 four days ago.
The Reds were knocked out of the Champions League after losing on penalties.
"Trent is unplayable. He will not play in the final," Liverpool manager Arne Slot told Liverpool's website in Jakarta on Saturday.
