Jakarta - PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk or AlamTri is now focusing on the mineral and renewable energy business after its management separated from the parent company.
"This is like the first child who is independent, can leave the house, so the management is completely separate and the business is different," said Adaro Minerals Director Wito Krisnahadi in a press statement in Jakarta, Wednesday.
According to Wito, his party is currently building an aluminum smelter project in North Kalimantan which is targeted to start initial production in December 2025.
"We hope that this year the first 72 pots can start production. The production ramp-up will continue until next year, and is expected to contribute to Adaro Minerals starting in 2026," Wito added.
On the same occasion, AlamTri Power President Director Dharma Djojonegoro emphasized that AlamTri does not run a coal business, but focuses on renewable energy and minerals.
