There is an increasing trend of millennial farmers developing the quality of dairy cattle

Jakarta - Head of Sustainable Agri PT Nestle Indonesia Syahrudi said there is an increasing trend of young millennials becoming cattle breeders around East Java.

"In 2010, we developed dairy cattle in Ponorogo and thank God, currently in Ponorogo we can say that 30-40 percent are young people, aged 30-an," said Rudi in a presentation about community farming in Malang, East Java, Tuesday (11/2).

Rudi said in providing education, young people are more receptive and change their mindset than senior farmers. This is because they see that the work can be done logically so that business development can be done more easily.

He wants the dairy farming business to be more popular among young people because this business should be fun and can give rise to other business ideas to support the dairy cattle business, for example, feed supply or health.
