Tavares asks fans to continue supporting Matheus Silva

Jakarta - PSM Makassar coach Bernardo Tavares asked Juku Eja supporters to continue to support Brazilian striker Matheus Silva.

Quoted from the official Indonesian League website, Tavares asked supporters not to blame the players, in this case Matheus Silva from the draw against PSIS Semarang, last Sunday.

"I beg you, support the players. Support them when they score goals and support them when they make mistakes. Anyone can miss a penalty," Tavares explained.

In the match against PSIS Semarang, Matheus Silva had the opportunity to score the winning goal for PSM Makassar, but his penalty was still thwarted by goalkeeper Syahrul Trisna.

Having fallen behind PSIS Semarang due to a goal from Joao Ferrari, PSM Makassar was able to equalize thanks to Yuran Fernandes in first half added time.

The Portuguese coach added that the PSM Makassar team currently needs full support from supporters because the squad is mostly filled with young players.
