Jakarta The director of the film "Pernikahan Arwah: The Butterfly House" Paul Agusta chose Lasem, Rembang, Central Java as the shooting location because the location suited the visual elements he wanted to highlight in the film.
"Especially from the visual elements, such as furniture, architecture, and fashion from Chinese Peranakan in Indonesia and in the archipelago. Lasem, which is famous for its strong Chinese cultural heritage, provides an authentic setting and supports the story that the film wants to convey," said Paul during the screening of the film "Pernikahan Arwah" in the Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, Thursday.
