Jakarta - PT Timah Tbk has fired Dwi Citra Weni, a PT Timah employee who went viral after uploading a video mocking honorary workers for using BPJS Kesehatan services for medical treatment.

"We convey that PT Timah Tbk has issued a decree with sanctions to terminate the employment relationship with the person concerned," said Head of Communications of PT Timah Tbk Anggi Siahaan, confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta, Thursday.

The termination of employment was carried out after PT Timah examined Dwi Citra Weni.

Anggi also said that the dismissal showed PT Timah's commitment to upholding work rules and ethics.

"This decision is a firmness and commitment in enforcing company regulations," said Anggi.

Furthermore, PT Timah also appealed to all its employees not to associate personal social media activities with PT Timah Tbk as a company.

He hopes that this incident can be a lesson for all PT Timah employees to always uphold ethics and obey applicable regulations.

"The company also appeals to all parties not to continue speculating regarding this incident, and emphasizes that the social media activity in question has no connection to the company," he said.

Anggi stated that PT Timah regretted the commotion caused by the upload of the video.

"As a company that upholds the values ​​of ethics, harmony, and mutual respect, of course we deeply regret and regret the commotion that has been caused by this," said Anggi.
