Jakarta - The All Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) is planning a women's football competition, the Indonesian Women's League 1, to be held in 2027.
With this, the initial plan to implement Liga 1 Putri targeted for 2026 was postponed. 2026 was previously considered by Erick as the ideal year to start Liga 1 Putri because he considered that in that year the talent pool of female footballers would be gathered.
This was stated by PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir when leading a meeting with PSSI ranks regarding the rolling of Women's League 1, Thursday (20/2).
