Jakarta - The General Chairperson of the Central Board of the All Indonesia Equestrian Sports Association (PP Pordasi) Aryo Djojohadikusumo said that his party is exploring communication with the management of the Jakarta International Equestrian Park Pulomas (JIEPP) so that it can once again become a venue for prestigious equestrian events.
The arena, which was previously called the Pulomas Horse Racing Arena, underwent major renovations and even changed its name to JIEPP ahead of the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games. However, after the Asian Games ended, JIEPP tended to be quiet from holding important equestrian events.
"I cannot answer (the certainty of the event there) because it is still in the negotiation stage, but the fact that the main director of PT Pulomas Jaya is here, for me, is a very strong signal," said Aryo in a press conference in Jakarta, Sunday.
With the ongoing communication between the two parties, it is certainly a breath of fresh air that JIEPP may return to being an international equestrian event arena.
