Denpasar - Pertamina Patra Niaga welcomed the proposal of traditional village business entities in Bali to become bases for subsidized three-kilogram liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to bring distribution closer to target groups.
"With the addition of official distribution institutions, this expands the distribution," said the Communication, Relations and CSR Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga for East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara Region, Ahad Rahedi in Denpasar, Bali, Monday.
He explained that if it is realized, then business entities in the traditional village will need to register their business registration number (NIB) and Online Single Submission (OSS) or an electronically integrated business licensing system in each district/city.
"So that every village community, represented by traditional villages, can receive subsidies because they are close to the community," he added.
Previously, Member of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives I Gusti Ngurah Kesuma Kelakan in a coordination meeting for the follow-up to the distribution of subsidized three-kilogram LPG with the subsidiary of state-owned company Pertamina in Denpasar, Thursday (6/2) proposed the idea.
He proposed that Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) and Baga Utsaha Pedruwen Desa Adat (BUPDA) in Bali can optimize the role of the economic sector, one of which is to become a subsidized LPG base to support targeted programs.
"This can bring the target community closer and the price is in accordance with the highest retail price set by the local government," said I Gusti Ngurah Kesuma Kelakan. The highest retail price (HET) for three-kilogram LPG in Bali is IDR 18,000 per cylinder according to the Decree of the Governor of Bali Number 63 of 2022.
The politician from the Island of the Gods assessed that this effort could be a medium-long term solution if retailers whose nomenclature is currently sub-bases still do not want to upgrade to become official bases.
He assessed that BUMDes and business entities in traditional villages or BUPDA are close to the community, including groups that have been part of the supporting data for regional government proposals regarding subsidized LPG quotas.
These community groups include those included in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), target fishermen, target farmers and micro-enterprises.
Meanwhile, the proposed subsidized LPG quota in Bali in 2025 reached 231,193 metric tons, based on data from the Bali Province Manpower and Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Office.
