Jakarta - Neurologist and graduate of Sam Ratulangi University, Dr. Jeffry Foraldy Haryanto, Sp.N said that migraine headaches and vertigo are often misunderstood, even though both have different complaints.
"Well, sometimes migraines and vertigo are misunderstood by the public, the complaint is actually migraine but they call it vertigo," said Dr. Jeffry Foraldy Haryanto, Sp.N, in an exclusive interview with ANTARA in Tangerang, Banten, Thursday (6/2).
The doctor who practices at Hermina Bitung Hospital explained that migraine is a headache that is usually felt on the right or left side, but can also affect the entire body.
"This is also one, not a misconception, but like a collective belief in society. Oh, if I have a headache on one side, it must be a migraine, even though it's not always like that. Indeed, the characteristics of migraines are not certain, usually the headache is on one side, it can be on the right side, it can be on the left side, it can move around, it can be a headache all over," he said.
