Minister of Primary and Secondary Education: Immediately finalize PDSS even though there is relaxation

Jakarta - Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti asked schools to immediately finalize the School and Student Database (PDSS) for the 2025 National Selection of New Student Admissions (SNPMB) despite the relaxation policy due to technical problems when uploading data.

Mu'ti, when met after a discussion event with Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) in Jakarta on Tuesday, explained that the relaxation policy was implemented for schools that had submitted applications.

"I think we will have to coordinate with higher education, because this is related to the student admission system in higher education, so we will try to make it as fast as possible, and schools should not because we give them the opportunity, then it becomes an excuse not to process it immediately because they feel they are getting leniency and not fulfilling it immediately," he said.

He said that several schools had reported that they had not been able to upload data, but this was related to several factors such as weather or damage due to natural disasters.

"We have provided services to schools that have not been able to upload so that they can upload, and we provide the opportunity, but of course we provide the opportunity to schools that apply to us because it is an unforced error ," he said.

He emphasized that the PDSS system is currently being continuously improved and developed by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education so that it can continue to be better in the future.

Meanwhile, the 2025 SNPMB Committee is providing an opportunity for 373 schools that have not finalized the PDSS as a requirement to register their students in the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP).

This opportunity is given to schools that have completed the data for students who are entitled to participate in SNPB or are eligible , such as completing the scores of eligible students in five semesters, but have not yet finalized it.

The General Chairperson of the 2025 SNPMB Team in Charge, Eduart Wolok, through a statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, explained that the 373 schools could be assisted in finalizing their PDSS by sending a power of attorney statement document to the SNPMB Committee.
