Makassar - Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, gave a warning to traders not to increase the prices of basic necessities above the highest retail price (HET) ahead of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah.
Minister of Agriculture Amran said that the government, in accordance with the direction of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, wants the public to welcome Ramadan and Eid calmly because the prices of basic necessities are stable.
"Don't play around with (prices). We will impose sealing sanctions if traders sell at prices above the HET," he said after opening the General Assembly of the Association of Higher Education Alumni Organizations (Himpuni) in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Friday.
