Jakarta - Aprilia Racing rider Marco Bezzecchi is optimistic about the performance of the RS-GP25 after two days of 2025 MotoGP pre-season testing at the Sepang Circuit, Malaysia, February 5-6.
"We tried the first evolution of the RS-GP25 that was used in Barcelona, then switched to the latest specification that I like better. There are still many elements to be tested, so it is too early to provide detailed input," Bezzecchi said in a written statement received in Jakarta, Friday.
On the first day, Bezzecchi completed 68 laps and recorded a best time of 1:59.207, placing him in 18th position. The following day he was ninth after recording a best time of 01:57.995.
He assessed that the RS-GP25 motorbike had experienced quite significant improvements compared to the previous version.
"This bike gives a good sensation especially on the front, which allows me to ride it naturally. I can immediately feel a comfortable and enjoyable riding experience. Everyone in the garage is also very enthusiastic so the atmosphere in the team is very good at the moment," he added.
Although there are still many things to test, Bezzecchi remains optimistic about the development of his bike. He hopes to continue to adapt and find the best settings before the 2025 season begins.
