KLH finds that the area of Lake Lido has decreased in recent years

Jakarta - The Ministry of Environment (KLH)/Environmental Control Agency (BPLH) found that the area of Lake Lido in West Java has decreased to only 11.9 hectares.

In a press conference in Jakarta, Friday, Deputy for Environmental Management and Sustainable Natural Resources of the Ministry of Environment/BPLH Sigit Reliantoro explained that in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (SK PUPR) Number 3047/KPTS/M/2024 concerning the Boundary of Situ Lido, the area of the water body is 24.78 hectares.

However, he said, satellite imagery data owned by the Ministry of Environment showed that there had been changes since 2015.

"In 2015, the lakes were still visible, then some kind of sediment started to form, later it will be investigated whether this is natural or whether it was intentionally filled for activities in Lido," he said.
