Jakarta - Technology company Google will develop its search engine Search into a virtual assistant based on artificial intelligence (AI), as conveyed by Google CEO Sundar Pinchai in the company's earnings presentation.
"As AI continues to expand the scope of queries people can ask, 2025 will be one of the biggest years for search engine innovation," Pichai said, as quoted by Tech Crunch on Wednesday.
He outlined the next phase of Google's plan to bring AI features to Search, which is to leverage the company's DeepMind research platform. Google Search will gradually become an AI assistant that helps users browse the internet, view web pages, and find information.
