Jakarta - Surgical Specialist from Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital dr. Ridho Ardhi Syaiful Sp.B, Subsp. BD(K) said alcohol consumption is one of the main factors that can accelerate liver damage.
A person who is used to drinking 1-2 bottles of alcohol every day is at high risk of experiencing liver disorders that lead to cirrhosis, and when the liver experiences cirrhosis, its shape becomes abnormal with a surface full of wounds, causing liver function to continue to decline.
"So people who drink 1-2 bottles of alcohol a day are at risk of developing liver cancer, their liver is at risk of being damaged," said Dr. Ridho in an online discussion, Friday.
Not only that, unhealthy lifestyles such as consuming high-fat foods and minimal physical activity can also worsen this condition.
