Quoting Medical Daily, Thursday (13/2), a British doctor known for various health-related TV programs, Dr. Xand Van Tulleken warned against mixing certain foods with medicines, especially fruit. He said, grapefruit can inhibit the absorption of all drugs and this fruit should not be consumed in any form including jam or juice while taking regular medicines.
“If you are consuming grapefruit and taking medication regularly, you need to be aware of what is happening because grapefruit can be dangerous,” Dr. Tulleken said.
