Jakarta - The Central Jakarta City Administration Government has reactivated waste banks in each Community Unit (RW) so that residents can select and sort the waste they produce.
"We are also promoting waste banks in all RW in Central Jakarta," said Central Jakarta Mayor Arifin in Jakarta, Tuesday.
Of the total 386 RW in Central Jakarta, 77 RW do not yet have a waste bank. "This must continue to be encouraged so that it can be built soon," he said.
In addition, there are 66 RW that have waste banks, but only the building, while there is no activity in the RW. "The remaining 243 RW are still active," he said.
Arifin continued, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Teguh Setyabudi appreciated the waste bank at the Central Jakarta Mayor's Office which has been established since 2015 and is managed by Individual Other Service Providers (PJLP) for cleaning.
