BPK Representative Office of West Kalimantan continues to monitor regional governments in managing state finances





Pontianak - Head of the Audit Board of West Kalimantan (BPK), Sri Haryati, is committed to continuing to monitor and assist regional governments (Pemda) at both provincial and district levels in managing state finances well in order to advance regional development.

"So far, the role of the BPK has been running well and I will continue to maintain and improve performance in assisting local governments to manage finances effectively, efficiently and credibly," he said after the handover of office in Pontianak, Saturday.

Sri Haryati officially replaced the previous Head of the BPK Representative Office of West Kalimantan, Winner Franky HM. The handover of office was attended directly by Member VI of the BPK RI Fathan Subchi, Acting Governor of West Kalimantan, the West Kalimantan DPRD, regents or mayors and district or city DPRDs as well as the provincial and district level Forkopimda.

Member VI of the BPK RI, Fathan Subchi, on that occasion advised the new Head of the BPK Representative Office of West Kalimantan to continue the good things and maintain communication with the local government and other parties.

"We ask the new head to continue to guide regional heads so that credible financial management is achieved that is efficient and effective. This is in accordance with the mandate that the BPK must help the state so that the APBN is useful for the people and contributes to the people's welfare," he said.

He said, BPK structurally and systematically works according to the law and professionalism including the matter of changing the head. The change is intended to refresh and give enthusiasm to the new unit. Then in terms of active performance, it encourages state financial management through quality and useful audits.

"The examination is certainly useful in the form of being used by policy makers. We continue to carry out quality control for quality examinations. Moreover, currently the culture of society needs and is aware of transparency in financial management," he explained.

He appreciated the performance of regional financial management in West Kalimantan Province because all have received an unqualified opinion (WTP). This must continue to be maintained and improved.
