Solo - Kesatria Bengawan Solo (KBS) defeated Bali United Basketball (BBC) through overtime or additional time which ended with a score of 94-93 in the 2025 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) match at Sritex Arena Solo, Central Java, Saturday.
In the first quarter, Kesatria Bengawan Solo was behind 19-25 points from Bali United Basketball. While in the second quarter, KBS turned things around with 43-40 points.
Next, the chasing of points continued in the third quarter with a score of 65-59 for KBS's advantage. In the fourth quarter, the score was tied at 82-82.
In extra time, the intensity of the game was high, resulting in a win for KBS with a score of 94-93.
Regarding the victory, KBS coach Efri Meldi appreciated the players who continued to show good performance until the last second of the match.
"First of all I think it was a very good game, right up until the end of overtime as well," he said.
He said that in this IBL the matches showed high intensity.
"No matter who we play against, the games will still go until the last second. We, the kids, have to be ready for such a situation and I appreciate the kids until the last second, we were behind by one point but we were able to make an offensive rebound ," he said.
Regarding the preparation for the match against Pacific Caesar Surabaya, Sunday (16/2), he said he would play players who still lack playing time.
"Players who don't get enough minutes to play , get the chance to play first so that their game can remain consistent," he said.
In addition, he will also strengthen the game especially in the early seconds.
"For the match against Pacific, we don't want to start slowly again, earlier we started slowly in the first quarter. We tried to improve our defense and start every quarter," he said.
