Police Discretion, Contraflow on Jagorawi Toll Road towards Jakarta is closed







Jakarta - The contraflow traffic engineering that is being implemented at Km 44+500 to Km 41+600 of the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Jakarta has been closed at the discretion of the Police.

"Traffic flow on the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Jakarta has begun to ease and gradually return to normal, so for security reasons, in accordance with the police's discretion, the contraflow from Km 44+500 to Km 41+600 of the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Jakarta was closed at 20.40 WIB," said Senior Manager Representative Office 1 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division Alvin Andituahta Singarimbun, in Jakarta, Monday.

Jasa Marga also appeals to road users to ensure sufficient electronic card balance before starting the trip to avoid congestion when transacting at toll gates. Always obey traffic signs and follow the directions of officers in the field.

Previously, contraflow traffic engineering was implemented at Km 44+500 to Km 41+600 of the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Jakarta at the discretion of the Police.

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded that 569,462 vehicles left the Jabotabek area during the Friday-Sunday period (January 24-26, 2025) of the Isra Mikraj and Chinese New Year 2025 long holiday.

This figure is the cumulative figure for traffic flow from four Barrier/Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (towards Merak), Ciawi GT (towards Puncak), and Cikampek Utama GT (towards Trans Java), and Kalihurip Utama GT (towards Bandung).

The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 29.4 percent compared to normal traffic (440,182 vehicles).

For traffic distribution leaving Jabotabek towards the three directions, the majority, 299,568 vehicles (52.6 percent) headed east (Trans Java and Bandung), 141,917 vehicles (24.9 percent) headed west (Merak) and 127,977 vehicles (22.5 percent) headed south (Puncak).
