Bandung - Presidential Communications Office Spokesperson Dedek Prayudi emphasized that the Free Nutritious Meals Program did not cut other budgets.
"No, it's not like that actually. So don't frame it as if MBG is sacrificing others," said Dedek in Bandung, West Java, Saturday.
Dedek explained that President Prabowo Subianto's government was refocusing its work programs.
Furthermore, Dedek said that during President Joko Widodo's administration, the main focus of the budget was allocated to massive infrastructure development.
In the era of President Prabowo, said Dedek, the focus shifted to human resource development starting from MBG of IDR 71 trillion and free health checks with a budget of IDR 4.7 trillion.
In addition, the government also plans to provide free TB examinations, in addition to health checks for birthdays, with a budget of IDR 8 trillion.
Improving the quality of health infrastructure, such as hospitals and community health centers, was also improved during the Prabowo era with a budget of IDR 15 trillion.
"So, it's not that MBG is eating others, no. But, what is happening is that from what was previously our massive infrastructure development, now our APBN infrastructure, we are shifting it. Now refocusing on human development. Meanwhile, infrastructure is still being built, only now the role of the private sector is being increased," he explained.
Dedek said one of the budgets whose portion has decreased is for the development of the Indonesian Capital City East Kalimantan. Currently, the development of the region has decreased compared to the previous year.
According to Dedek, this is normal because currently the focus of development is being directed to involving the private sector.
The massive development carried out by the government is a lure for the private sector, especially foreign investors, to see the seriousness of the state in developing the IKN.
"Because there is indeed a sealing , the APBN can only pay for the construction of the IKN for tens of percent, and that is in the law, and when it is close to sealing , or has reached the upper limit, then it is time for the private sector to finance it," said Dedek.
