Makassar - The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has asked the public to be more aware of Coretax fraud schemes that use the names of DGT officials or employees.
Director of Counseling, Services, and Public Relations of the Directorate General of Taxes, Dwi Astuti, in a statement received on Saturday, said that the identified fraud modes were carried out in various ways such as phishing, pharming, sniffing, money mule, social engineering.
This fraudulent mode is not a new mode that has emerged along with the implementation of Coretax DJP, but the implementation of Coretax DJP is currently being misused by fraudsters to again carry out irresponsible actions.
"Further explanation regarding the definition of each fraud mode can be seen in the DGT Announcement number PENG-4/PJ.09/2025 dated January 15, 2024," he said.
