Iran's ILNA news agency reported on Tuesday that Tehran summoned the Australian ambassador to Tehran, Ian McConville, after the embassy published content online that was "against norms" in Iran.
In detail, the Australian embassy wrote a comment on a photo it published on its official Instagram account: “Wear purple,” expressing its great interest in creating “a supportive environment in which everyone, especially LGBT youth, can be proud of their identity.”
“Let us continue to support diversity and inclusion for a brighter and more inclusive future,” she said.
"The publication is not intended to harm the Iranian people and their values and the Islamic Republic is not mentioned in it," the Iranian Labour News Agency quoted Australian Ambassador Ian McConville as saying.
While the post is still on the embassy's Instagram account.
