Rohingya fleeing Rakhine state attacked by drone : Myanmar

A drone attack near the Myanmar-Bangladesh border has killed many Rohingya refugees fleeing Myanmar to Bangladesh, according to eyewitness accounts.

Last August 5, Four Rohingya who experienced a drone attack on Rohingya families who were trying to cross the border and flee to Bangladesh in northern Rakhine State. A spokesperson for the activists said.

Among those who were attacked were a pregnant woman and a two-year-old girl, and the news reported that it was the worst attack on civilians in the ongoing military conflict in Rakhine State.

Three witnesses told Reuters last Friday that the attack was carried out by the Arakan Army (AA), a claim the AA has denied.

How many people died in this attack? It has not yet been confirmed which group committed the crime.

In some videos that have surfaced on social media, several bodies can be seen lying on the ground in mud, and packages and bags are scattered around.

Three of the four witnesses who spoke to Reuters said the number of dead could be as high as 200. The other said he found at least 70 bodies.
