Google deprives YouTube users in Russia of making profits

Websites interested in technology and the Internet reported that Google decided to block the AdSense service for Russian users, through which they can obtain their profits from the videos they publish on YouTube.

According to available information, users in Russia started seeing a message published by the Google Payments team that reads: “We are deactivating all AdSense accounts in Russia. This means that it will not be possible to earn money through these accounts. July earnings will be paid between August 21 and 26 if the account is not suspended and the payment period is met.”

Google's AdSense service had previously imposed restrictions on users located in Russia, and as of March 2022, it disabled the display of ads in the Russian Federation, imposed a ban on the creation of new accounts for Russian users, and now Google has decided to cut all ties with bloggers and content creators from Russia.

Some Russian media outlets reported last week that YouTube had stopped working for Russian users using computers, regardless of their home Internet server, and when trying to open the site, users were shown an “error” message or messages asking them to check their Internet connection.
